Typesetting and Page Composition
Page composition isn't just a matter of inserting copy from a text file and wrapping it around pictures and adding chapter names and titles. Typesetting is where the really invisible work comes in during the bookmaking process. Good typesetters pay attention to:
- Word and letter spacing
- Typographic and design elements
- Spread balancing
- Widow and orphan control
- Text / art integration
